Taylor Swift is in some serious trouble with her fans!
According to WKRN-TV out of Nashville, a box of T-Swift fan mail was found unopened in a Nashville dumpster outside a local elementary school.
Kylee Francescan was disposing her personal things at the dumpster when she noticed the fan letters and grabbed them in hopes of them actually getting to Taylor.
"There were like hundreds of letters in there to Taylor Swift and I'm like, 'Oh my gosh!' I didn't know if they were stolen [or] discarded, so I threw them in a box. And I'm like, 'Somebody needs to let Taylor know,'" she told WKRN.
The letters, covered with hearts and pictures where from all over the world and were addressed to Taylor Swift Entertainment, a P.O. box located at a strip mall in Henderson, TN.
A spokesperson for the strip mall reportedly said that Tay fan mail is sent to that location and someone from her camp picks it up periodically.
So why was all of the mail in the dump?
The letters were returned to Taylor's record company, Big Machine Records. They said they weren't sure why they were thrown away.
A statement from Taylor's management has been released about this situation saying, "Taylor gets thousands of fan letters everyday and they are delivered to her management office. After the letters are opened and read, they are recycled...The only explanation for any letters being unopened would be that a small batch of mail that was supposed to be delivered to Taylor was accidentally put with letters headed for the recycling center. We sincerely appreciate Channel 2 bringing this to our attention, and we plan to immediately pick up the mail."
Well, at least they addressed it and aren't trying to brush all of this off!
We all know Taylor loves her fans but honestly, there's NO WAY the girl reads every piece of fan mail but throwing them away, unopened is just mean.
We don't think Taylor is responsible for pitching her fans' letters but someone in her camp obviously is! It seems to us like someone was being super lazy and just decided to get rid of the letters or they were told to do so by someone higher up. How does mail just conveniently end up at a dumpster without it done intentionally? If the lady at the dumpster noticed the T-Swift notes then how wouldn't the person taking the box there?
What do you think?
I THINK IT'S TIME FOR DAMAGE CONTROL...OOPS!
