The VCA Palmetto Animal Hospital is boarding animals of affected individuals and families for free. Their staff can be reached at 843-903-1900, and pets can be taken to 4808 US 501, Myrtle Beach.
Pets Inn Paradise Island is offering to assist the families whose homes were burned. They will board cats or dogs at no charge for a week while the affected people are in temp housing. They can be reached at 843-314-3849 or 843-957
The Quality Inn in Conway, next to El Patio, is offering discounted rates for displaced residents, and they do accept pets. Call 347-7254 for more information.
Ya Ya's Consignment in Conway has clothes available for women and girls. Anyone affected by the fire can call Donna Carrillo at 843-467-1991 – she will meet you at the shop or find a different ways to get clothes to fire victims.
According to a post on Facebook, Ron Jon's Bar and Grille is having a Community Fundraiser for those families who have lost their homes in the Carolina Forest Fire on Monday, March 18th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. They are offering a ziti dinner for $7 for adults and $5 for children, as well as a 50/50, and a silent auction. Then post states many businesses have already donated to the silent auction.
The post also states that Ron Jon's Bar and Grille will be a drop-off point for any donations of clothes, pet supplies, personal hygiene items, and more.
