He can seem a little shy at first, but with some gentle stroking and head patting, he warms right up to you. He is very laid back & mellow. His favorite activities are observing the activity around him, snoozing and cuddling. He is a lap cat but will also exhibit an independent side of himself if he wants to be alone (to nap or have some observation time alone). Avis gets along with other cats, too!

Brent is a sweet boy. He enjoys being petted and rewards you with a great purr. He is such a total love bug, which is his nickname. He actually gives hugs and kisses (licks). He is such an affectionate little man. He would be happy to live with other cats, dogs and/or kids. He loves everyone!

This little bundle of fluff is looking for her forever home. She is a cuddler and loves to lay on her back in your lap, making muffins in the air. She is just too adorable! Please stop by and meet this little princess today (and her brother, Sago)!

Antonio came to the shelter at the end of July 2009. He was only 4 months old. Antonio was not being looked after properly in his previous home, which is why he was brought to us. He would now like a new start in a kind and loving home. Have you space in your life for him?

Blondie has been with us since may 2010. She is 1-2 years old. She is more than just a really pretty cat. She is curious and loves to check out her environment. She is an explorer for sure. She loves to lounge in the kitty condos and knows how to use a scratching post. Blondie loves to be brushed and groomed. She is playful, too, and especially has a blast once you pull out the laser pointer. Oh boy! This little day would easily fit into a home with other cats, dogs, and/or kids.

Finny loves to play fetch and is such an outgoing, energetic and confident pup. She is super attentive and is equally as smart Oh, and did we mention that she is a fantastic kisser?! Finny is best suited for an energetic and active home with experienced owners who are often home. She is great with other dogs and would be okay with a dog savvy cat.

Hi my name is Kevin! I am such a sweet little fellow- and boy ,do I love attention! I want nothing more than to be your lap baby! I have already been fixed and I am up to date on my rabies vaccination so I am just waiting for my new home! One look in these eyes and you will surely take me home with you!

Carley likes going for walks and she is a great walking partner. She knows how to sit, and is eager to learn more. She is outgoing, confident and playful. She is affectionate and very attentive. This girl will make a wonderful companion for a family with children as she is super smart and very well mannered indoors. Carley does well with others dogs and already knows that cats are in charge and is content to let them rule the house (or shelter!).

Allen and his littermates arrived at the shelter in May 2010 at 6 weeks of age. He is one of the most playful and outgoing kitties at the shelter (his sister, Mermaid, too). He will make a great pets as he has such a wonderful purrsonality. Our staff and volunteers here at the shelter just can't get enough of him. Allen loves to play and he calms down nicely when play time is over.

The most distinctive thing about Fisher is how he spoons his food into his paw to eat. It is very cute. Of course, this entire furry package is very cute. Fisher loves to flop over on his side and give you his most adorable look. He knows he's cute and isn't the least bit shy about using his cute factor to get your attention!

Javon is a beautiful kitten. He is very friendly and quick to purr when he gets attention. Javon gets along with other cats and has one littermate left bunking with him at the shelter. He has designated himself as the official greeter for his cat room and makes sure that you stop by his cage to greet him and his sibling. Javon loves neck and cheek scratches. He also likes a good brushing session. If you are looking for a beautiful kitten with a great personality, Javon may be the kitten for you.

Kiara is a sweet girl. Even though she's a little shy, she is obviously a sweet and loving cat. She enjoys being petted and having her chin scratched. As she becomes more comfortable, her affectionate side emerges.KIara is good with children and is getting along well with the other cats at the shelter.

Dobson is such an adorable and lovable little guy! He is great when out on a walk and loves to sit for treats! Dobson is super sweet and friendly and would love to be your new buddy!

Bella loves people, and is very gentle. All she wants is a family to love, a ball to play with, and a nice bed to sleep in. She will be very loyal.

Cinnamon is a beautiful cat. She is outgoing and friendly and likes to play. Her favorite toys are balls with bells. Cinnamon loves to lounge while you scratch her head and neck - and you simply cannot help but pet her because her fur is very soft. Cinnamon is a bit shy in new situations (as many cats are). She has lived as an indoor only cat and gets along with cats and dogs.

Kayleigh is a beautiful cat. She can be a little cautious when she first meets you, but warms up quickly. She's a friendly cat who likes to be petted and groomed. She is fairly quiet and calm and likes to explore. Kayleigh gets along with children and other cats

Addison is such a happy and playful young girl. She will make a great running partner as she has lots of energy and would keep you motivated. Addison is not only beautiful, she is very smart! This little girl is a quick learner and will do really well in training classes. She is quite the catch!

Andy is an awesome cat. Sweet and gentle, he has great lap cat potential. He loves getting and giving attention. He even gives kisses! He's also a playful cat who likes chasing string toys and laser pointers. He gets along with children, dogs and other cats. He:s going to make a great addition to a lucky family.

Sable is a friendly and outgoing sweetie. She enjoys being with people and will make sure she is always near you in case you are ready for a petting session. She also digs head rubs and will maneuver her head so that you have to pat her . Sable is very laid back and gets along well with other cats. Could this darling girl be your next best friend?

If you are looking for a kitten who is playful, affectionate and has a terrific purr, you must come meet Eric!. He loves to play and some of his favorite toys are paper bags and bottle caps. What better game than to bat bottle caps across the floor! Eric loves to be held and curl up in your lap. He gets along with other cats and dogs, too. If you want a kitten who will entertain you and snuggle with you AND is really, really cute, Eric is a must see!

Holly is always one of the first to greet visitors entering the cat room. She enjoys hanging out with people and is great with children. Holly is very active & loves to run & jump. She is very young at heart and explores just like a kitten. Holly has a beautiful white coat. She is truly spectacular. If you are looking for a lap cat who will purr for pats, Holly may be the cat for you.

Cujo is such a sweet boy and he loves to smile! He loves to go for walks and he knows commands such as sit and stay. He is playful and is very friendly with people. Once you see this guy smile at you you will want take him home.

Miss Kitty is a sweet and loving little lady. Her owner moved & left her in the home. She is a talker & will wander up to you & just start meowing as if you are having a conversation. She is used to living with other cats & dogs, too.

Mojo likes to play ball, knows how to sit on command, and walks well on a leash. He is playful, affectionate and likes to give kisses. Mojo will do best in an active home with adults or adults and older children.

Kayla is looking for a quiet, adult home.She wants to sleep under her blanket, so we have a feeling she was used to sleeping in the bed. She tends to think she is a lap dog, although she weights around 45lbs. Kayla wants to be with people all of the time. Donna came to the shelter in June 2009. She is between 2-3 years old. Need a new best friend? Check this girl out! She is willing to be your life-long companion and shoulder to lean on. Everything that you have ever wanted in a friend you can find in Donna! All of the best qualities in a friend wrapped up in one furry package- that's what you'll get if you'll share your heart and home with this sweet girl!

Benny is a lovely cat. Gentle and quiet, he is an accomplished lap cat. This friendly boy is no couch potato, though. He likes to play and is particularly fond of toy mice and laser pointers.

Barney is a sweet fellow. Like many cats, he has an independent streak, but he's also a sweet boy who likes getting attention and being groomed. Mellow and affectionate, Barney is a laid back and easy going cat. He will make a great companion.

Kara likes going for walks. She is a very smart girl. She sits on command and will happily take any extra treats off your hands.Kara is a great girl who is best suited for a home with older children and adults.

Melanie is approximately 1-2 years old. She was found when a neighbor moved and left her behind. She is a little shy around new people currently and needs a lot of love and attention.

Nelly has been at the shelter since 05-30-08. She was only 6 weeks old when she and her littermates were brought to our shelter. She is a humble and sweet little girl who would fit in easily with any family.

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR ME?? Kayla is looking for a new family who will give her a forever home. She is just adorable! She has worked her way into our Director's office and can be found curled on a nice stack of papers....she's a very good paper-weight. Kayla loves to be near her favorite people and she will, no doubt, want to sleep on the bed with her new family. Kayla is a darling and would love a place to call home.

If you are going to bring Tom home, move your breakables to higher ground. Tom has a happy tail and he is not afraid to show it. He likes to go for walks, run in the yard, and play fetch. Tom is friendly to people and other dogs. He is very energetic and he likes to jump and play. He is a smart fellow who will do well in training classes.Tom is full of energy and needs an owner who will be firm, but positive and consistent. He will do best in an active and energetic home with adults or adults and older children, who are also experienced owners. Positive obedience training classes are recommended. Tom is okay around other dogs and would be fine in a home with cats, too.

Molly is gentle female Beagle/Lab Mix with a beautiful shiny black coat. She is obedient and calm and needs a loving home.

An adorable 2-3 year old female, Babs is a gentle and loving tortoiseshell. Babs is very affectionate. She enjoys being held and is a total lap cat.
 

Buddy was brought into the shelter because his family was not allowed to have pets. He is a wonderful "Mixed" Breed. Buddy has such a beautiful face and tends to make the cutest expressions. He is a very sweet, loyal and loving dog who is good with children. Buddy is an active and athletic fellow, but he is calm and laid back when he's indoors...he's such a cuddler! Buddy is very smart and knows some basic commands already!

Poston came to us when he was just 8 weeks old (July 2009). He is a friendly boy who would love to be able to find a new loving home where he could settle down with a family of his own. Poston can be homed on his own or with other cats as he has lived with other cats before at the shelter.

Kathy is a 2 year old old female. She is very good with the other cats. She is generally very tolerant of dogs, but on occasion will hiss and swat at them if they get too frisky. She loves people - loves to be picked up and carried. She's a snuggler and will most likely end up in bed with her family at night.

Bella loves people, and is very gentle. All she wants is a family to love, a ball to play with, and a nice bed to sleep in. She will be very loyal.
